EARLY ACCESS · WISHLIST OPEN ON STEAM

A top-down space-combat epic. Fifty warships.
Fleet actions. A civil war in its seventeenth year.

Earth has a church. Mars has a shipyard. Between them — the war.

THE PREMISE

THE LONGVIGIL

Humanity broke out of Sol, fought two long wars against her own runaway daughters, and buried her dead by the million. Earth drew inward — her churches became her government. Mars, Earth’s first colony and her heaviest industrial base, refused to follow.

In 2188 Mars broke from the Alliance and named itself after the insult Earth used to dismiss it: the Stepping Stone. The war that followed is the war you fly in.

Earth and Mars facing one another across the dark gulf of Sol, two fleet lines strung between them

EARTH · CRADLE OF MAN

Blue, and turning away — eleven billion souls who made their church their government, and will not fire a shot until the hymn is sung.

MARS · THE STEPPING STONE

Red, and unbowed — the forge that built the cradle’s fleet, then kept it, and took the insult for a name.

Two fleets holding a silent standoff across an immense gulf of space, Mars a dim crescent below

FLEET ACTIONS

EVERY BATTLEIS A FLEET ACTION

Two hundred ships on the field. Squadron AI, named aces, carrier launches, and a kill feed that reads like a casualty list — because it is one.

IN-ENGINE · ACTUAL GAMEPLAY

THE SIM

Strike Wings plays from above: a fixed 60 Hz combat simulation in the lineage of Hell Fighter 32 — phosphor wireframes, Newtonian drift, and ordnance that fills the sky. What the paintings promise, the sim delivers.

Drawn in 2113, flown by the thousand on both sides by 2205. It shredded Talons in its first field trial and Lancers in its second — then the Alliance reverse-engineered captured hulls to build its own. The war's definitive fighter.

THE RITE OF LAUNCH

STEEL ISBAPTIZED

A warship launching from the Lunar Yards is a three-day public event. Chaplains walk the hull rail to rail; the consecration hymnals — vast polyphonic choral works — are sung over open comms while the fleet holds station in the dark. Even Martians listen, in private. Then the ship is armed, and the war has one more name in it.

POWERS OF SOL

THREE FLAGS.NO TRUCE.

Two flags fight the war. A third was built to profit from it — and both sides keep it in business.

FIRST POWER · EARTH

THE TERRAN ALLIANCE

“The sword is holy.”

Earth fought two unwinnable wars against her own runaway daughters, buried a century of dead, and drew inward. Across sixty years — the Templar Turn, 2120 to 2180 — a traumatised republic drifted, one reasonable accommodation at a time, into a theocracy: the Aethon Covenant, six ecclesiastical Orders, a Synod where the navy used to be. Eleven billion souls now launch warships only after a chaplain raises the monstrance. Green hull, red cross, and the finest kinetic weapons in known space.

SECOND POWER · MARS

THE STEPPING STONE ALLIANCE

“That which is built is sacred.”

Mars built most of Earth’s fleet and refused Earth’s faith — to a workers’ democracy of welders and engineers, priests at the gunnery board were simply insane. When Earth made the Covenant a condition of trade, Mars broke away in 2188 and took the slur Earth used to dismiss it — the Stepping Stone — as its name. Pell-pattern shields under open Halcyon licence, yards that launch a warship a day, grey Martian steel. The Reaper is theirs; so is the future, if they hold.

THIRD POWER · THE CHARTER

THE CONSORTIUM

“The bid that prints.”

The third power neither flag will admit is a power. It began with the 2167 Tharsis Mutiny — three captains who refused to fire on civilian rescue traffic, bought out and walked off Mars aboard a retired dreadnaught — and is now a chartered mercenary state of forty-two Wings under Concord law. The seventeen-year war breeds a backlog of work line crews won’t touch: contested-corridor escort, asset retrieval, deniable strikes, capital recovery. The Consortium clears it for cash — no flag, no sectarian preference, a contract from the Iron Lamb and its counter from the SSA in the same week. Both navies hire it; both resent it; neither can afford to dissolve it. Its sodium-yellow plume is a warning and a brand at once: we want you to see us coming.

THE FRONTIER

THE WAR LIVESAT THE EDGES

Patrol Outpost Saint Gabriel, 82 Eridani outer system. One Crusader squadron, a repair slip, and a sign that asks every pilot to speed the word. Neither fleet can land on the other’s homeworld and hold it — so the war is fought at places nobody on either world had heard of until the casualty lists arrived.

THE KNOWN SPHERE · LIVE TACTICAL PLOT

TWENTY-TWOLIGHT-YEARS

Five human powers. A mercenary charter. Seven salvage Houses. And at the north-west edge of the chart, a single red ? — the system the SSAV Yeats reached in 2187 and never came home from. The torpedoes still arrive.
